SÃO PAULO, SP (FOLHAPRESS) - O Game Awards revelou nesta segunda-feira (17) os indicados da edição de 2025, com "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33" liderando a disputa com 12 nomeações —o maior número já registrado na história da premiação. Ao todo, 102 jogos, estúdios, profissionais e produções concorrem em diversas categorias que celebram os destaques da indústria neste ano.
Entre os concorrentes a jogo do ano estão títulos como "Death Stranding 2: On the Beach", "Donkey Kong Bananza", "Hades 2", "Hollow Knight: Silksong" e "Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2". A premiação também destaca adaptações de franquias de games para cinema e TV, com produções como "Um Filme Minecraft", "Devil May Cry" e "The Last of Us" entre as indicadas.
No recorte por publishers, a Sony Interactive Entertainment lidera com 19 indicações, seguida pela Kepler Interactive, com 13, e por Electronic Arts e Microsoft, ambas com dez. Os indicados são escolhidos por um júri global composto por mais de 150 veículos de mídia e criadores de conteúdo.
A edição deste ano será transmitida ao vivo pela primeira vez pelo Prime Video.
A votação popular já está aberta e segue até 10 de dezembro no site oficial. A cerimônia do Game Awards acontece no dia 11 de dezembro, no Peacock Theater, em Los Angeles, com anúncios de novos jogos, apresentações musicais e a presença da The Game Awards Orchestra.
